Welcome
Cotgrave and District u3a is a member of a UK-wide collection of 1000+ charities that provide the opportunity for those no longer in work to come together and learn for fun.
It’s a small but thriving group of just over two hundred or so retired or semi-retired people with a zest for life and an enthusiasm to keep going.
We meet at 9.30am on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at the Cotgrave Welfare Social Club to exchange views, to be given an update of planned activities and hear a general talk from an outside speaker on a topic of interest to our members.
Like other u3a organisations we run a wide selection of Group activities of interest to our members.
We charge a modest annual subscription of £15 to cover the cost of venue usage, external speaker fees and any minor incidental running costs.
All Committee Members and Group Organisers provide their services on a strictly voluntary basis.
Welcome to you if you are an existing member . . . the role of this site is to provide up-to-date information on current and planned Group activities and Events.
If you are considering joining our Cotgrave and District u3a do take a look at what is on offer.
Any questions you may have can be answered by a Committee Member or Group Leader, all of whom have provided specific contact details.
Alternatively, go to our Contact link to check with whom you should touch base.
We may be a small organisation but we are not out there on our own.
There is a national network of u3a's . . . follow the link About u3a for a full rundown on the u3a Movement, its aims and guiding principles and relationship with the Third Age Trust.
We are also part of the Association of East Midlands u3a's . . . check out the website nottsu3anetwork.org
Both national and regional u3a's offer activities for you to join and enjoy.
We’re a small group of friendly folk trying to help each other follow their aims and life's aspirations.
Why not join in the fun?
